We aspire for children to learn and grow to their full potential. Our experienced kaiako follow strengths and interests of tamariki to extend and challenge them. Our environment is a safe space to explore, experiment and have fun!

Westown Kindergarten is situated within its community. The outdoor space is large and offers spaces to play, relax, and connect with nature. We have a range of productive fruit trees, and a māra kai. We are part of Taranaki Enviroschool’s, and encourage children to be kaitiaki of our environment.

FOOD SERVICE KINDERGARTEN
We are a food service kindergarten, which means all meals are provided through the KidsCan programme.

Westown Kindergarten will be starting back for sessions on Monday 5th Jan, 2026.

A fee of $6.00 per hour applies if you have attested any of your 20 ECE hours at another service
*over the age of two.

Staffing and Group Size
The staff at Westown Kindergarten consists of a teaching team of five, a Kindergarten Administrator, and a Cook. The group size is a maximum of 40 children aged 2- 6 years.
Enrol at Westown Kindergarten
Fill out the form below to express your interest in Westown Central Kindergarten.
To enrol your child at a kindergarten, please contact the kindergarten of your choice when your child is approximately two years of age or you can also send us an enrolment enquiry below.
The kindergarten will contact you and let you know when your child may be able to start. The starting time will depend on the length of the waiting list.
If your child is over two, make contact with the kindergarten and kindergarten staff will arrange to enrol your child.
Our Kindergartens are as unique as the children who attend, we take pride in the fact that no two Kindergartens are the same – we encourage you to visit and find the one that best suits you and your child.
