ABOUT

Nau mai, haere mai, welcome to Brooklands Kindergarten. We are located in the heart of Brooklands, New Plymouth – a popular family and multi-cultural suburb close to many schools and parks.

We value and respect; an inclusive and natural environment where our tamariki explore, create, research, discover, have fun and learn alongside others.

Strong Relationships and whanaungantanga are important here.  We acknowledge that every family has their own unique values and culture, embracing difference and diversity, welcoming the contribution these make to our programme. We encourage parents/whānau to share their aspirations for their tamaiti, which lead our teaching and learning. We welcome support and participation with our community excursions, events and fundraising.

Our physical environment is a large space with opportunities for tamariki to challenge themselves, help in our maara and care for our chickens that live in our ‘back-yard’. We are an Enviroschools kindergarten with sustainability and manaakitanga as our focus.

Children learn best through play
